Dômes Pharma is an independent, family‑owned animal health company founded in France in 1947, dedicated to improving the health and well‑being of companion animals. The company originated in the Auvergne region of central France, an area shaped by ancient volcanoes and distinctive volcanic domes (“dômes”), which inspired the name Dômes Pharma and reflect the company’s deep regional roots.
Built over three generations of pharmacists and entrepreneurs, Dômes Pharma has grown into an integrated international group that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets specialized veterinary solutions. The company is particularly recognized for its expertise in veterinary ophthalmology and therapeutic niche products, addressing unmet clinical needs through targeted innovation and scientific rigor.
Beginning in 2016, Dômes Pharma accelerated its international expansion, establishing subsidiaries across Europe and North America. Today, the group operates in more than 15 countries, supported by vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and a strong commitment to quality, regulatory excellence, and close collaboration with veterinarians.
Dômes Pharma entered the U.S. market through the acquisition of SentrX Animal Care, Inc. in 2023, a Salt Lake City–based company specializing in veterinary ophthalmology and known for its proprietary BioHAnce™ technology, a patented cross‑linked hyaluronic acid platform designed to enhance ocular comfort and treatment compliance. In 2024, SentrX was officially renamed Dômes Pharma, Inc., aligning the U.S. operation with the group’s global identity and long‑term vision.
Today, Dômes Pharma, Inc. serves as the group’s North American hub, combining U.S.-based manufacturing and innovation with Dômes Pharma’s decades of international expertise, advancing the company’s mission to deliver effective, practical, and veterinarian‑focused solutions for pets.
