Shelby Bossler, DVM, FFCP- V Technical Services Veterinarian, Ophthalmology
Dr. Shelby Bossler obtained her DVM from The Ohio State University in 2020. Prior to joining Sentrx as our Technical Services Veterinarian, Dr. Bossler held a variety of roles within the veterinary field, spanning from kennel technician to credentialed veterinary technician to associate veterinarian for both a small animal general practice and a veterinary relief company.
Her diverse background grants her a multifaceted perspective of the veterinary landscape. Dr. Bossler's enduring passion for ophthalmology and commitment to client education align seamlessly with the objectives of Domes Pharma.
Allie Trippe, DVM, PGCert, FFCP Technical Services Veterinarian, Toxicology
Dr. Allie Trippe earned her Bachelor of Science from Clemson University in 2014, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Before joining Dômes Pharma as a Technical Services Veterinarian, she spent five years as a small animal general practitioner and served as a consulting veterinarian in clinical toxicology for the ASPCA’s Animal Poison Control Center.
Passionate about toxicology, Dr. Trippe is excited to bring her expertise to Dômes Pharma US as the company expands its product categories. Outside of work, Dr. Trippe enjoys backpacking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, reading, and nearly all outdoor activities—especially those involving water. When the weather is cooler, you can often find her on the trail or cheering on Clemson athletics.

Sarah Atzet, Phd
David Maggs, BVSc (hons), DACVO
Following graduation from the University of Melbourne in 1988, Dr. Maggs spent 5 years in mixed practice throughout Australia, England, Scotland, and Wales. He then completed small animal and equine internships at Colorado State University, and a research fellowship and comparative ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri.
He joined the faculty at the University of California-Davis in 2000 where he is trained more than 25 ophthalmology residents. He is an author of Slatter’s Fundamentals of Veterinary Ophthalmology - now in its 6th edition. David’s major interests are ocular surface disease and feline herpesvirus.
David Wilkie, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Wilkie obtained his DVM from the University of Guelph (1984), interned at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MS and DACVO in 1988 from Ohio State University. He served as Professor at Ohio State University (1988-2018), Veterinary Clinical Science Department Chair (2015-2018) and is now Professor Emeritus. Dr. Wilkie trained 21 ACVO/ECVO residents, 20 graduate students and over 34 ophthalmologists from 12 countries. Dr. Wilkie is author of 105 articles, 104 abstracts and 46 book chapters, served as textbook editor, reviewer for 25 Veterinary and Human ophthalmology and research journals and serves on the Editorial Board of 9 journals. He is past chairperson of the ACVO, Examination Committee and Past-President for the ACVO.
He is currently Editor and Chief, Veterinary Ophthalmology. He has presented seminars in the over 26 countries, twice been nominated for the Norden Distinguished Teacher Award and for the Merck/AgVet Award for Creativity in Teaching. He received the OTS Alumni Gamma Award (2000), the Dr. Charles W. Fox Award for Distinguished Teaching (2012), and the National Gamma Award for Distinguished Service (2014). He was awarded the NAVC - Equine Speaker of the Year Award (2013), the AAVC Faculty Achievement Award (2017), the OSU Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society Recognition Award (2019) and the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award (2021).
DJ Haeussler, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Haeussler finished his undergraduate work at The Ohio State University and then received his doctorate in 2006. He then went to New Jersey where he finished two internships at Garden State Veterinary Specialists and then returned to his alma mater, The Ohio State University to complete his residency.
While at Ohio State University for his residency, he completed a Master of Science degree and earned the top award for professional student research at Ohio State as well as the top resident award for professional research at the annual American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) in 2010.
Dr. DJ Haeussler has been published in Veterinary Ophthalmology, Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Clinician's Brief, and others. His publications have been referenced in the gold standard textbook, Veterinary Ophthalmology.
Dr. Haeussler has also published a photographic atlas to help better help veterinarians and veterinary technicians identify ophthalmic disease in dogs and is entitled Recognition of Canine Ocular Disease: A Photo Atlas, Volume 1. Dr. Haeussler's photographs of ophthalmic disease are found in textbooks and lectures worldwide.
Dr. Haeussler has also served as a part-time ophthalmology consultant and clinician at Garden State Veterinary Specialists, in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dr. Haeussler is a board certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO). Dr. Haeussler has served on the ACVO Public Relations committee as the committee chair and is a member of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association Board of Trustees and has served as President. Dr. Haeussler enjoys intern and resident training and looks forward to helping more doctors become board certified in veterinary ophthalmology.
Kate Myrna, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Kate Myrna has a BA from Vassar College and received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed a 1-year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, and went on to complete a 1-year specialty internship at Angell Animal Medical Center – Western New England. Dr. Myrna then completed a Residency in Comparative Ophthalmology and obtained a Master of Science in Comparative Biomedical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Myrna has been teaching at the University of Georgia since 2010 where she has been recognized for her teaching and engaging lecture style through the Zoetis Distinguished Teaching award, multiple student teaching awards and a Lilly Teaching Fellowship. She was recently voted the small animal speak of the year at the VMX conference.
Dr. Myrna’s research focuses on corneal wound healing as well as the role of tear cortisol levels on ocular health. Dr. Myrna is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
Shelby Reinstein, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Shelby Reinstein founded the Vet Vision Center in 2022 with the goal of providing exceptional eye care for pets while offering an elevated and enjoyable visit for pet parents. After 10 years of working at a large, multi-specialty and emergency hospital, Dr. Reinstein left the corporate world to open a privately-owned, boutique-style ophthalmology center. By focusing solely on ophthalmic care, the Vet Vision Center was designed to promote the best possible patient care while achieving outstanding client service, and being a really great place to work!
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Reinstein's other true passion is teaching other veterinarians about ophthalmology. She lectures nationally and internationally providing continuing education seminars and wet-labs. Dr. Reinstein also recently published the Guide to Clinical Ophthalmology, a handbook for general practitioners. She writes for Clinician’s Brief, Today’s Veterinary Practice, All About Cats, and is the ophthalmology consultant for the #1 provider of online veterinary continuing education, VETgirl
Dr. Reinstein is a proud mother of a rambunctious boy with her husband Dr. Garret Pachtinger, a board-certified critical care veterinarian and co-founder of VETgirl. They share their home with a mini-Poodle (Pickles) and 2 cats (Joie & Nadia).
